This Study Area Specification (SAS) is designed to help students improve their numeracy by building their confidence and success in making meaning of mathematics. The SAS provides teachers with the flexibility to design courses of study that cater for the broad range of skills, attitudes and needs of students. Students study 5 topics (number, data, location and time, measurement and finance) integrated into teaching and learning contexts which have relevance to them.
