Australian Curriculum Version 8.4 in Queensland

The Australian Curriculum supports students to become successful learners, confident and creative individuals, and active and informed citizens. It sets out the expectations for what all young Australians should be taught, in three dimensions:

  • learning area disciplinary knowledge, understanding and skills
  • general capabilities
  • cross-curriculum priorities.

Schools design their programs to give students opportunities to develop the three dimensions.
