The National Training Register will identify changes to training products.
Superseded and equivalent training products
The Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) will automatically add equivalent training products to your scope of registration if they are delivered as core or listed electives.
Imported units
The QCAA will not automatically update electives that your school registered training organisation (RTO) has imported for training product.
If your school RTO has imported units, you must apply to add the training product to your scope. Use the VET app in the QCAA Portal.
It is a RTO’s responsibility to monitor currency of any imported units.
Superseded but not equivalent qualifications or units
The QCAA will not automatically update a training product not identified as equivalent.
You must apply to add the new training product to scope using the VET app in the QCAA Portal.
Packaging rules and superseded units
You must use the core units and select from listed electives based on the packaging rules. This applies even if the core or listed electives have been superseded or deleted elsewhere.
Note: It is your RTO’s responsibility to review changes, ensure the relevant TAS and trainer and assessor profiles are current, and that the correct training product is being delivered to students.
This means ensuring students are transitioned into any relevant replacement training product as determined by packaging rules.
