If you want to cease operating as a registered training organisation (RTO), you will need to apply to the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) to withdraw your registration.
How to withdraw your registration
Use the 'Application to withdraw RTO registration' activity in the VET app in the QCAA Portal.
Include all requested information and attachments to assess your application.
What you need to provide
You will need to explain how you will:
- complete training for current students
- transfer current students to another provider.
You must also provide:
- your Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) issuance register
- your complaints and appeals register.
Your obligations while we assess your application
Your organisation must remain a registered VET provider until the QCAA approves your withdrawal application.
This means the legal requirements under the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011 (NVR Act 2011) and VET Quality Framework continue to apply to your organisation.
Your obligation after approval
Some obligations under the NVR Act 2011 continue after your withdrawal.
The QCAA will explain these obligations as part of the withdrawal process.
