Student Management application

As part of the transition to the new QCE system, Student Management will be used to manage student data and results for the 2019 Year 11 cohort and future cohorts.

The application is being rolled out in stages, in line with the new processes and procedures required for the new QCE system.

Student Management will replace the Student Data Capture System (SDCS) and Student Learner Information System (SLIMS) /Registration and Banking System (RABS). SDCS and SLIMS will be decommissioned in late 2019 and retained for historical records. Schools and learning providers should continue to use SDCS and SLIMS/RABS for the 2019 Year 12 cohorts as outlined below:

System requirements

Student Management is a web-based application. Support is provided for the following browsers and devices:

  • Internet Explorer 11+
  • Mozilla Firefox 37+
  • Chrome 42+
  • Safari 8+
  • desktop and laptop computers.

Student Management will be optimised for mobile devices at a subsequent stage.


Student Management is accessed through the QCAA Portal. QCAA Access Management Organisation Administrators can assign the Student Management Administrator role to appropriate staff at their school.
