The Queensland Certificate of Individual Achievement (QCIA) resources are provided to support schools to identify curriculum and learning goals, develop curriculum plans and record student evidence of achievement. These resources should be used in conjunction with the Guideline for individual learning (GIL) and can be adapted to suit specific school contexts.

Student profile

The student profile template provides a useful starting point to decide which learning goals might be suitable when creating an individual curriculum plan. The profile has space to list communication, student interests, strengths and weaknesses. Learning goals should be selected to develop knowledge and understanding across all four areas.

QCIA learning goals

Subject mapping

The subject mapping template has space to include four modules of work per subject and includes a sample. Complete a separate template to map the learning goals for each subject.

Mapping overview

These templates can be used to develop a mapping overview of the learning goals to all subjects that a student will study across the two years of senior schooling.

A mapping overview template is available for each of the curriculum organisers:

Folio of student evidence of achievement

Samples

These two verified authentic student folios of evidence of achievement are provided as samples. The folios demonstrate a clear alignment of the included evidence to the Statements of Achievement or Statements of Participation that the school selected. The number of pieces of included evidence is considered appropriate for the statement.

Template

The folio of evidence template provides eight slides as a starting point for compiling a folio of student evidence of achievement. One example slide has been included. Schools can add or change slides as required.
