School RTOs must engage with industry, employer and/or community representatives to seek meaningful advice and feedback to confirm:
- trainers and assessors have industry competencies, skills and knowledge
- trainers and assessors have current industry practices
- delivery of training product aligns with industry
- assessment tools align with current industry practices
- facilities and resources meet current industry standards
To ensure that your school RTO complies with current industry standards:
- engage industry, employer and/or community representatives who have skills and experience relevant to the training product.
Note: You will need to engage two industry representatives for Certificates I and II and three or more industry representatives for Certificates III and above.
- keep verifiable records of engagement with industry, employer and/or community representatives and records of changes made to the school RTO’s policies and practices in response to this advice and feedback.
