Students seeking advice on tertiary entrance should start with their school's guidance officer or student adviser. The QCAA 's Student Connect website is also a great source of information on tertiary options and career pathways.
Staff at universities and TAFE colleges can provide information on course content and options; they can be contacted directly or by attending open days. Private career counsellors are another option, and will, for a fee, help define career goals and develop a study plan.
The QTAC website provides information on how to apply for tertiary entrance. The QTAC Guide to Tertiary Courses is sent to Queensland schools mid-year for distribution to all Year 12 students and can also be purchased from QTAC and newsagencies.
