Detailed description of diagram: Example of QCE credit for Certificates II and III with credit transfer for the same or different training package

In the example depicted, for a Certificate II (8 units) where 8 units of competency are new learning, 4 QCE credits accrue.

In the same example, for a Certificate III (16 units), 8 of 16 units of competency are recorded as a credit transfer, for which no further QCE credit accrues. For the other 8 units of competency, which are new learning, 4 QCE credits accrue.

This means that, in this example, a total of 8 QCE credits accrue (4 from the Certificate II, and 4 from the new learning in Certificate III).
