Endorsement resources for assessors

Welcome

This page is designed to assist endorsers, lead endorsers, and chief endorsers in preparing for endorsement activities. It will be regularly updated with the necessary resources to support assessors throughout the endorsement process leading up to each activity.

We thank all assessors for their continued commitment to the endorsement process.

QCAA Endorsement review meeting – 16 & 17 August 2025

Meeting details

  • Chief endorsers are invited to join the review meeting at Level 24, 400 George Street, Brisbane. The RSVP form provides the opportunity to advise if you can participate in person at the venue or by remote participation only.
  • Lead endorsers and endorsers invited to participate in the review meeting remotely, working at an appropriate location of their choice, such as a school or home office.

RSVP

All assessors are required to complete the online RSVP form to advise if you are participating or not participating in the event. Assessors have been emailed the details.

  • to RSVP before the event
  • to register your attendance or non-attendance on meeting days.

Please note: You will be required to log in to your Assessor Event Profile by entering the preferred email address recorded in ‘My Details’ application.

Working at an Endorsement review meeting

The start time for assessors is different depending on your role. Please refer to the tables below for your start, break and review meeting close times.

Endorsers and lead endorsers must complete the calibration exercise before they begin on the assessment queue each day.

Pre-event briefing

A pre-event briefing is scheduled for one afternoon in the week prior to the review meeting. During this subject specific briefing assessors will be given updates, information and training for the specific assessment instruments expected at the review meeting. Invitations will be emailed closer to the date.

Cease time

QCAA staff will monitor the completion of assessment instruments in the queue. It is the responsibility of the assessors to notify QCAA if their queues are completed via their Assessor Event Profile.

Once assessors are no longer required during the Endorsement review meeting, they will receive a notification via email that they are ceased. This notification reflects the cease time you should include in your timesheet.

Please remain available until you are notified that the Endorsement review meeting for your subject has ceased.

Consultation and intervention

My Details – QCAA Portal

Your details must be kept up to date in the QCAA Portal > My Details application. Ensure all tabs across the top of ‘My details’ tab are up to date.

Ensure the following contact details are provided:

  • name – including preferred name
  • physical address – see drop down selection to change from postal if necessary. A physical address is essential if a travel booking or claim is to be submitted
  • mobile phone number (selected as preferred)
  • email address – provide a preferred email address to receive QCAA communication.

Ensure your school employment details are current, including:

  • school currently employed at
  • check your teaching status is current (e.g. full-time, part-time, or on leave). This is necessary for payroll requirements.

Refer to the Help section in the top right corner of the My Details application for more information on editing details.

Timesheets

Assessors will complete a timesheet to record participation during a review meeting scheduled time, participation in training, and other activities as advised.

The timesheet is accessed via the QCAA Portal > My Details > Employment profile > Timesheets.

Please be aware of the following details when you complete your timesheet:

  • A lunch break must be recorded after 5 hours of work. The minimum lunch break is 30 minutes.
  • Timesheets are required to nearest 15 min increment and in 24-hour time. For example, if you cease activity at 3:11 PM record it as 15:15.
  • The timesheet encompasses a full week, running from Monday to Sunday. Submit your completed timesheet either at the end of the week or when you are certain that no further work will be required for any QCAA activities during that week.
  • If you are on leave, or are a part-time teacher not rostered to work on the review meeting day, or during training, you must first enter this information into the My Details section of the QCAA portal to ensure you are paid correctly.

Technology requirements

Before your attending the Endorsement activities, please ensure you have:

  • installed Google Chrome (64-bit) as the web browser on your device
  • installed Adobe Acrobat Reader as the pdf viewer on your device
  • complete system updates on your device
  • iPads and other tablet devices are not recommended for use for the endorsement application.

Social media protocol

Assessors are expected to adhere to the QCAA social media protocols. The protocols highlight key responsibilities when engaging on social media, disclosing confidential information, or implying that personal views represent the agency. Maintaining professional conduct online at all times is crucial. For more information about social media protocols, refer to the QCAA appropriate use of social media protocol (PDF, 149.4 KB).

Your workspace – working online

Please choose a location that allows you to work confidentially and without interruption during the review meeting day and ensure that your workspace is comfortable and ergonomically appropriate for the work required.
