General and General (Extension) subjects
In 2026:
- the final summative internal assessment instruments for students exiting the subject in 2026 will be endorsed in Term 1
- the first two summative internal assessment instruments for the next cohort of students, those exiting in 2027, will be endorsed in Terms 3-4
- all assessment instruments for compressed delivery, and new subject offerings introduced after Event 1, 2026 (including extension syllabuses) will be endorsed at the second endorsement event for that cohort of students.

Essential English and Essential Mathematics
Endorsement activities for Essential English and Essential Mathematics occur at the same time as General subjects but with some differences.
In 2026:
- the third and fourth summative internal assessment instruments for students exiting Essential English and/or Essential Mathematics in 2026 will be endorsed in Term 1
- the first summative internal assessment instrument for Essential English and Essential Mathematics for the next cohort of students, those exiting in 2027, will be endorsed in Term 3.
Note: the second summative internal assessment instrument for Essential English and Essential Mathematics is a common internal assessment developed by QCAA.
