NAPLAN handbooks hard copy order form

The NAPLAN handbooks are comprised of three separate publications:

  • the National protocols for test administration
  • the NAPLAN Operations Handbook
  • the NAPLAN test administration handbook for teachers.

All three of these documents are required for administering NAPLAN tests. Schools will be advised when the handbooks are available to download from the NAPLAN test administration webpage.

Schools are encouraged to download PDF versions of these files from the QCAA website and distribute them digitally to relevant staff. As NAPLAN is conducted online, the handbooks have been designed to maximise digital functionality. Most schools use the digital version of the handbooks and often report that the ability to search for specific information using embedded hyperlinks is beneficial. Schools that prefer to use a print format can print copies of the PDF handbooks for NAPLAN administration.

ACARA publish the National protocols for test administration on their website at the beginning of Term 4 to assist schools that wish to commence their preparations for NAPLAN 2026 before the end of this year.

Schools have the option to order printed copies of these handbooks from the QCAA by completing this order form. The handbooks will be available in February 2026.

Orders must be submitted by close of business, Friday 31 October 2025.  The maximum quantity of handbooks is listed on the form below.
