QCAA pop-up tester

You must allow pop-ups for the QCAA Portal to function correctly (i.e. disable your pop-up blocker for qcaa.qld.edu.au).

No alert or warning received

If you did not receive an alert then pop-ups are not blocked for the QCAA domain. You are able to use the QCAA Portal.

If you received an alert then you need to allow pop-ups for the QCAA domain. Please follow the instructions below and test again.

Instructions to allow pop-ups

Note that instructions may vary depending on the browser version installed.

Direct method

  1. Look to the right of the address bar and locate the Icon for blocked pop-ups in Chrome browser icon indicating that this page has blocked pop-ups.
  2. Click on the icon and select 'Always allow pop-ups..' for QCAA site
  3. Click 'Done'.

Via settings

  1. Launch Google Chrome web browser
  2. At the top right, click the Chrome settings icon icon to open the Customize and control Google Chrome menu
  3. Select Settings from the menu
  4. Under the Settings menu, scroll down on the left-hand side and select Privacy and security
  5. Under Privacy and security, select Site settings
  6. Scroll down to the Content section, click Pop-ups and redirects
  7. Scroll down to the Customized behaviors section. Click the Add button next to 'Allowed to send pop-ups and use redirects'
  8. In the Add a site dialog, enter https://www.qcaa.qld.edu.au and then click the Add button
  9. Verify that the QCAA site now appears in the list of allowed pop-ups and redirects.

Via settings

  1. Launch New Microsoft Edge
  2. At the top right, click the MS Edge Settings and more icon icon to open the Settings and more menu (Shortcut: ALT+F)
  3. Select Settings from the menu
  4. Under the Settings menu from the left-hand side, select Cookies and site permissions
  5. From Cookies and data stored, scroll down to All permissions,
  6. Under All permissions scroll down and click Pop-ups and redirects
  7. Click the Add button next to Allow
  8. From the Add a site dialog, enter https://www.qcaa.qld.edu.au
  9. Click the Add button
  10. Verify that the QCAA site now appears in the list of allowed pop-ups and redirects.

Direct method

  1. At the top of the page there should be a banner indicating that this page has blocked pop-ups

  2. Click on the 'Options' button and select 'Allow pop-ups..' for QCAA site.

Via settings

  1. Launch Firefox web browser
  2. At the top right of the browser window, click the Firefox Settings Open Menu icon icon to Open Menu
  3. Select Options from the menu
  4. On the left-hand side, select Privacy and security
  5. Scroll down to the Permissions section
  6. Under Permission click on Exceptions button next to Block pop-up windows (ensure checkbox is ticked)
  7. In the Allowed Websites – Pop-ups modal enter https://www.qcaa.qld.edu.au

  8. Click Allow.
  9. Verify that the QCAA site now appears in the list of allowed pop-ups and redirects and click Save Changes

  1. Launch Safari web browser
  2. Click on the Safari drop down menu and select Preferences

  3. For older versions click on the Security tab
  4. Deselect the Block pop-up windows checkbox
  5. For newer versions click on the Websites tab
  6. From the left-hand side, select Pop-up Windows
  7. In the Allow pop-up windows on the websites below dialogue box
  8. Enter qcaa.qld.edu.au
  9. From the Block and Notify drop down button, select Allow.
