Senior External Examination in Spanish

Information about the 2019 examination

This year’s examination will be based on the Spanish Senior External Syllabus 2008 (amended 2012).

The examination consists of an oral component and a written component. Candidates must sit both components to be awarded a Level of Achievement.

Oral component
Candidates within 100 kilometres of the Brisbane CBD will be individually assessed by a marker at a central Brisbane venue on a Saturday in October. Candidates will be notified of their date and time once enrolments are confirmed. Candidates from all other areas will be individually assessed at their schools by a marker by telephone in early November.

Details of each candidate's assessment will be sent to them via their school in mid-September.

Written component
