Aerospace Systems General Senior Syllabus 2019: Syllabus amendment notice

Notice 003/18

Amendments have been made to the Aerospace Systems General Senior Syllabus 2019.

Summative internal assessment 1: Project — folio

The description of the project has been amended to better describe the requirements for the student response.

The instrument-specific marking guide has been amended, replacing ‘credible’ with ‘feasible’ to better describe evidence required.

Summative internal assessment 2: Examination

The specifications of the task have been replaced to improve useability and alignment to objectives.

Unit objective 8 has been removed from the examination.

Amendments have been made to the instrument-specific marking guide to reflect this change.

Summative internal assessment 3: Project — folio

The specifications of the task have been replaced to improve useability and alignment to objectives.

Subject matter

Subject matter has been modified as follows:

  • Notional time allocation by topic and assessment tables have been amended to indicate that assessment is integrated within the unit.

Reporting standards

A–E reporting standards have been amended to align with other subjects in the Technologies Learning Area:

  • C standard: ‘credible’ replaced with ‘feasible’ for synthesising and evaluating
  • E standard: amended to include applicable cognitions.

Glossary

Glossary has been updated to align with other subjects in the Technologies Learning Area.
