Physical Education Alternative Sequence 2019: Syllabus amendment notice

Amendments have been made to the Physical Education Alternative Sequence 2019 to strengthen and clarify content and assessment requirements.

Summative Internal Assessment 2 (AS U1 IA2): Investigation — report

The instrument-specific marking guide has been amended. Criterion: Communicating has been amended to remove ‘spoken’ from all performance levels.

Summative Internal Assessment 3 (AS U2 IA3): Project — folio

The instrument-specific marking guide has been amended. The word ‘two’ has been included in the first dot point of the 7–8 mark range.

Summative Internal Assessment 1 (AS U3 IA1): Project — folio

The instrument-specific marking guide has been amended. Criterion: Analysing has had the word ‘team’ removed from the stem in both performance levels.

Summative Internal Assessment 2 (AS U3 IA2): Investigation — report

The instrument-specific marking guide has been amended. Criterion: Analysing now reads
' … the class, school "or" community physical activity context in all performance levels'. 
Criterion: Communicating has been amended to remove ‘spoken’ from all performance levels.

Summative Internal Assessment 3 (AS U4 IA3): Project — folio

The instrument-specific marking guide has been amended. The word ‘two’ has been included in the first dot point of the 7–8 mark range.

Categories of physical activity

The categories of physical activity listed in the syllabus have been amended to include only those applicable to the Alternative Sequence. The categories Invasion, Net and Court and Performance are included in the syllabus. All other physical activity categories have been removed.
