The QCAA Cultural Capability Action Plan 2026–29 (PDF, 7.1 MB) outlines our commitment to strengthening cultural capability across the organisation and ensuring our work genuinely and respectfully reflects the cultures, histories and experiences of Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
The plan sets out practical actions to build meaningful partnerships, embed culturally responsive practices across our policies, systems, curriculum resources and assessment materials, and foster a culturally safe and inclusive workplace. It also supports staff to build the knowledge and confidence needed to work respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, businesses and organisations.
Across 2026–29, the QCAA will focus on five key areas: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander engagement, leadership and accountability, culturally responsive systems and services, valuing culture, and economic participation.
