Have your say on the Australian Curriculum v9.0
The QCAA is conducting a survey on behalf of Queensland and its schooling sectors to contribute to the national monitoring of the Australian Curriculum.
The Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) has asked every state and territory to report on their use of the Australian Curriculum v9.0 between July 2025 and June 2026. The responses will inform Queensland's 2026 report to ACARA.
The survey is open until Wednesday 9 September.
This is one of the few structured opportunities for Queensland teachers to shape future changes to the Australian Curriculum, so don't miss this chance.
Updates to the P–10 Planning app
We've updated the P–10 Planning app with new functionality that lets you add other members of your teaching team as co-editors on a year level/band plan.
We’ve also introduced new connecting curriculum functionality that gives you the option to connect two or more learning areas or subjects. The app will automatically populate your plan with content from each area.
You can use this functionality to plan a connected unit within a year level/band, or a school-designed subject that combines two or more learning areas.
To support you with these changes, we’ve updated our P–10 Planning app Frequently asked questions and user guides.
We’ve also added two new how-to videos to our P–10 Planning app help resources to step you through the new connecting curriculum functionality.

New resources for leaders
Assessment literacy professional learning packages
Support your teachers to complete the P–6 and Years 7–10 assessment literacy courses with our updated professional learning packages.
Designed for school leaders, these can be used to deliver professional learning sessions and help teachers build their assessment literacy to effectively implement the Australian Curriculum.
Each package includes:
- a guide to leading professional learning
- an introductory slide deck
- course-aligned slide decks
- a reflective learning journal.
The P–6 and Years 7–10 professional learning packages and assessment literacy courses are available in the Learning Hub in the QCAA Portal.
Lead quality assurance and moderation with confidence
Designed for curriculum leaders, the Leading P–10 quality assurance and moderation toolkit provides practical guidance and resources to strengthen quality assurance and moderation practices.
It includes:
- slide decks for quality assurance, calibration and consensus
- a quality assurance tool
- calibration and consensus recording sheets
- a reflective learning journal.
The toolkit supports structured professional learning, promotes professional discussion, and helps schools embed consistent assessment and moderation practices.

New maths resources
Strengthening students' understanding of fractions
Support students' understanding of fractions in Years 2–6 with new Number sense and algebra resources aligned to the Numeracy general capability.
The resource package includes guidance, professional learning materials, classroom resources and printable activities organised around five fraction constructs:
- part-whole
- measure
- division
- operators
- ratio.
Designing quality Mathematics assessment
The Creating questions for quality Mathematics assessment toolkit helps P–10 teachers develop effective assessment questions that align with the Australian Curriculum.
Designed to be used in professional learning settings, the toolkit supports primary and secondary educators at all career stages with practical resources to strengthen assessment design.
Preparing to access transition statements webinar
P–6 organisational administrators, join our free webinar to make sure your school is ready to access transition statements for the 2027 Prep cohort. Learn what you need to do to ensure staff can access the QCAA Portal and download transition statements, including how to review staff accounts and assign the correct roles.
Website review update
As part of our current website review, we will be archiving the past curriculum documents section of our website.
From Wednesday 30 December 2026, these documents will no longer be available on the QCAA website. You will still be able to email us and request copies of past curriculum documents after this date.
