2017

NAPLAN paper-based test dates for 2017 are Tuesday 9 May, Wednesday 10 May and Thursday 11 May.

All schools must ensure that the week beginning 8 May 2017 is set aside for the national tests. Do not schedule other major school activities during this time.

Schools that have a gazetted holiday on any of the scheduled test days (or catch-up day) must apply to the QCAA for a variation by completing the Variance request form available from the NAPLAN portal in early 2017.

Test security (for both paper-based and online tests)

Test security is to be maintained to ensure tests remain secure for schools granted approval to vary test dates. For 2017, the security period has been extended to Friday 26 May 2017 as the timetable for online tests has been extended to this date.

Paper-based test timetable

Schools must schedule the tests on the dates agreed to by the Australian Education Early Childhood Development and Youth Affairs Senior Officials Committee (AEEYSOC). Tests must not be conducted prior to the published date under any circumstances. The order of the tests cannot be varied.
