In 2018, the NAPLAN tests will be conducted from Tuesday 15 May to Thursday 17 May.

All schools must ensure that the week of NAPLAN tests is set aside for the national tests. Do not schedule other major school activities during this time.

Schools that have a gazetted holiday on any of the scheduled test days (or catch-up day) must apply to the QCAA for a variation by completing the Variance request form available from the NAPLAN portal early in the relevant test year.

Test security

Test security is to be maintained to ensure tests remain secure for schools granted approval to vary test dates.

Test timetable

Schools must schedule the tests on the dates agreed to by the Australian Education Early Childhood Development and Youth Affairs Senior Officials Committee (AEEYSOC). Tests must not be conducted prior to the published date under any circumstances. The order of the tests cannot be varied.
